What is a box league?

A box league is a mixed doubles league format in which each player does not have a set partner. Instead, you are seeded into a "box" of four players at the beginning of the season.

Each round, you play three matches against the other players in your box, switching partners each match so you play one game with each other player in your box. At the end of the round, your sides' scores are added up for each match. The player with the most points from each box is promoted to the next higher box. The player with the least points in each box is demoted to the next lower box.

When does the league play?

Each round covers a two week period. During those two weeks, you a free to schedule your match any time all four people are available. Just send Justin the results when you're done! We will also schedule a regular league night (night TBD) in which you can come play your matches with other league members!

How do I play doubles pickleball?

The rules are similar to singles pickleball and other racquet sports. The video below does a great job of explaining!
